Mines the Marlin 1894 Cowboy ( i have it in the 357)

With their tapered octagon barrels, these rifles offer true cowboy-rifle heft and aesthetics for everyone from the die-hard Cowboy Action Shooter to the hunter who appreciates 19th century-style firearms. The Model 1894 Cowboy has a 20" barrel and is chambered for 45 Long Colt, 44 Remington Mag/44 Special and 357 Mag/38 Special. Also, featuring traditional Ballard-style rifling, handsome American black walnut stock and fore-end, and richly blued finish.

I really like the Savage Model 99 Levers. They can be had up to .308 cal, which was my favorite.

I have a 1936 Marlin 30-30 lever action that was my father-in-laws. It's longer than the Winchester 30-30 saddle gun that is so common. I love it for deer hunting in Western Oregon. Nice long barrel, good open sites. More accurate than my Winchester and not much heavier.

    I've lost count....
    .45-70 Govt kicks ass.

I recently bought a TC Encore in .45-70 and instantly fell in love with that caliber. I took it out hunting this year and shot a deer with it....lets just say it hits them hard and they go down fast. There was less meat damage using a .45-70 300 gr. hollow point than what I normally see when using either my .30-06 or .270 on deer. It was pretty much the same as hitting them with my .50 cal muzzleloader....reloading is just a lot quicker :D. I can't wait to dial up some custom hand loads for it!!

For comparison, left to right: .223, 7.62, and .45-70 Govt:

Not a lever action, but here is my TC Encore in .45-70 Govt:

...And to get this post back on track my favorite lever-action is a tie between my Grandfather's .30-30 Marlin and my Dad's .35 Remington Marlin :)
