    fack no.

    aye dios mio!

chipotle is mexican styled food. its like saying pizza hut has authentic italian food or yoshinoya is chinese food good enough to serve an emperor lol. if a joint doesn not have food that might make you squeemish (beef tongue, tripe, pork rhinds) then it aint authentic. if youre in socal, try los compadres. food so good make you wanna slap yo momma.

    None yet.
There used to be a little place called Los Gallos in town, but the people who leased the building to them wanted to open up their own 'sports bar/restaurant' so they didn't renew the lease. Haven't found a better one since and they haven't found a new location yet.

    Yoshinoya is JAPANESE.... not Chinese.
This thread is about "favorite Mexican food spot" not where the most authentic can be found.

Never said it had to be in America, so I choose a local chef's kitchen in Cozumel, Mexico. The food/drinks we fixed were absolutely delicious, like fresh green chile sauce, guacamole, cactus, and other things my memory is failing me almost a year later on!

Julio's in Rosehill. Handmade tortillas with the fajitas, made daily--fresh red and green hot sauces, and warm chips to go with the con queso (ol' Lady never fails to order it) that's Tex-mex done right and served by Illegal Aliens. It just doesn't get better north of the Rio Grande

yikes... so many average places listed (no offense)... damn - you live in So Cal - there's a thousand amazing Mexican restaurants here!!!

My all time favorite so far is Super Antojito's (now Super A's) in Costa Mesa... I could list 10 other great ones in So Cal...
    http://www.yelp.com/biz/super-antojitos-costa-mesa

My other favorite is a bit more upscale, but a blast and amazing food - Taleo in Irvine...
    http://www.taleomexicangrill.com/

Both of these are must trys if you live in the area...
At Taleo, make sure and try the carnitas, or the beef enchiladas. And the flan will probably be the best you've ever had (not exagerrating).
At Super A's - try the diablo chicken - doubt you've ever had any sauce like that before (it's very different)
