What's your favorite National Park?

Good idea! I'mma try for Crater Lake, Olympic, and Rainier!

 

We did Theodore Roosevelt, Glacier, Mt Rainier, Olympic, Redwoods, Crater Lake, Canyonlands and Rocky Mountain NPs all in one trip last year. Takes some planning and you must make your reservations the day the window opens, usually six months in advance. Get the Senior pass if you qualify.

 

Not many places to do dispersed camping? I would like to see some awesome adventures pictures!! please!

 

Grand Canyon is my favorite. I’ve hiked all the main trails and completed rim to rim last year. Love being down in the canyon it’s incredible.

Damn!! My goals to do rim to rim!! Next year! I only did the bright angle trail til plateau point then hike back up. I love the Grand Canyon!!

 

I’m hiking down to the river in the western end of the park this year. Gonna spend 3 days in the canyon. I always go end of October first of November weather is perfect. I did r2r over 4 days , camped 3 nights in the canyon. It was incredible.

 

Currently in Zion, and words can’t describe this. Rainer is about 45 minutes from my house so I’ve spent a lot of time there, it’s amazing too but totally different from this so hard to compare

This is my first trip out of the PNW in my whole life and it’s weird that everything around me isn’t totally green, and it’s weird it isn’t raining every day

It really is amazing how beautiful the desert areas of our country are.

 

hows the milky way in the Canyon?

 

It’s incredible. Especially that time of the year cause you get those clear winter nights. Amazing!!!!

 

Every time I tried to take a picture on angels landing my phone camera wouldn’t do it justice. One of those things you just have to see in person!

Edit: and it actually wasn’t too busy. At least not what people have told me the park was normally like. We didn’t even get on the shuttle until around 11 this morning and we were able to get a parking spot right across from Zion outfitters.

We also got to drive through the park to the east entrance this morning! Has to be one of the most beautiful drives in the country

 

Do you prefer the north rim or the south?

 

is the observation trail and the narrows still closed? You should hit up the Grand Canyon!!!! only a few hours away!

 

Have either of you floated the Colorado through (part of) the Canyon? I have looked into it several times over the years... Looks like a real adventure!

 

The white caps scared me LOL. I heard Its level 5 rapids...

 

You can float different parts of the river. I don't think you are required to run class V water.
