Maybe someday, I'll get around to shooting mine. Had it for almost 4 years and not a single round down range with it.

I've had my eyes on an Angstadt Arms UDP-9 for my 9mm "pistol"

Do it. 9mm carbines are so much fun. Cheap to shoot and extremely accurate out to 100 yards even in my novice hands.

    yep..
My choice is either the AR platform or my CZ 527 carbine in .223 (they also make it in 7.62x39 which would make a perfect bush deer rifle)

This one. I have others that I thoroughly enjoy, but this is my buddy. There's nothing special going on inside, but over the past 6 years, I've managed to get the ergos and balance just right. The setup has been arrived at after several carbine classes and is - I feel - a great balance of purpose and compromise for both close and medium range scenarios.
I have more accurate guns and more powerful guns, but nothing that requires as little thought to use as this one. We just click.

Base gun is a 14.5" LMT M4 profile built into a Block II-ish spec using a DD M4 RIS II and has an honest 10K rounds through it. Optic is Trijicon TA31 ECOS. 2017-07-02 02.01.38.jpg

I would love to own an M14, too, but it's nowhere near a priority.

Not mass produced but one off build by Robert Gradous. 6.5x47 Lapua that is more accurate then I can hope to be. Also love my ARs.

I have recently developed a new respect for my 30+ year-old "dead stock" Norinco SKS carbine. It is a well made version of that rifle with a chrome bore and a nice spike bayonet too boot; I paid Century Arms $109 for it back then, when they were still in Vermont.

It had not been fired in over 20 years when we took it out a while back, and it performed just as it did 30 years ago. Fed equally old steel cartridge surplus ball ammo flawlessly, though the fixed magazine only hold ten rounds reloading with stripper clips was at least as fast as swapping magazines on an AR; It also proved to be just as much a tack-driver as it did way back when.

Yeah, it's heavy and kind of crudely finished but it also seems to be like that bunny with the battery on his back--it just keeps running. I'll snap some photos of it tomorrow...
