OK, here's my situation: I want a trd OR short bed. I also want a hard tonneau cover. I need to carry two ten foot kayaks and pull a 15 ft camper. How can I do this? I need suggestions.

    Thanks

Easy - just put the kayaks on a roof rack

It's nice to be able to have the kayaks and RTT setup on the Tacoma.

I no longer use these j racks and load assists. If anyone in the Md area is interested, they are for sale.

Nice. What is your setup? Is that Thule or something from Toyota?

Thanks. It's OEM roof rack for Tacoma with Yakima mounts for the Kayak.

I just showed my wife a picture of your setup and she thought it looks cool. I'm now quite happy to have a solution for my situation. Thanks a lot!

I have an SR5 with the 5” bed.

    I want a Jackson BigRig (14’).

Do you think I’d get away with it in the bed using a T-Bone bed extender ???

I sure as hell don’t have room for a trailer in the garage.

I was able to squeeze both up top with my RTT, but that's since gone. So much room for activity!

Awesome! My Fiance actually drives the Taco now. I have a '17 4R TRDOR. She loves the truck.

The Kayak mounts are two Yakima Jaylow's. I really like them. Went with Jayhook's at first and hated them. It's worth the little bit extra for the Jaylow's construction and ability to fold down and barely make it into the garage.

Here is the cheap way to do it. Strapped them down to the OEM rack. I bought the Yakima mounts the next weekend, haha

This is me earlier in the year with one Yakima Jaylow in the center stack position and 2 yaks loaded (one on the J and the other on a pad).

I since got another Jaylow just for convenience.

With this setup I can do 4 yaks across or 2 and a cargo box.

I have an A-Frame trailer I also tow with this combo.

I saw your storage rack on Pintrist and built one a couple months ago . It's great! Thanks for the idea

You'll be fine. Before I bought my Taco I had a Dodge Dakota with a 5'3" bed and had no problem using the extender with my Hobie 13. My only concern is the guy texting behind me when I use this setup.

Lol, that's always my concern as well. You can't fix stupid!
