I'm curious what everyone is seeing. My TRD Sport Access cab has a ProComp 6" lift with 285/75/r16s with spacers, and I'm seeing about 14MPG. My work commute is about 20-25 minutes one way with mostly highway/country roads.

I was hoping for more like 16-17, especially being a manual, but it is winter so that is likely playing a role. Previous owner just did plugs/oil change/new air filter.

ETA: Oh, and I have the 4.0 V6.

    What are y'all seeing??

Piles of threads on MPG, which all vary greatly based on many factors. (try out the search engine)

Problem is that your configuration is in the great minority around here, so you won't get many direct comparisons.

If MPG is important, a truck isn't the place to get it. And a 6" lift with big rubber and stanced geometry don't help. And if it has wheels that weigh a bunch more than stock, that hurts too.

I did search and read various threads first, but was curious what those with similar setups were seeing.

MPG is not 100% important, but when I'm seeing stock config trucks pulling 18-20, it leaves a little to be desired. This is my first truck with a lift, so I'm just curious.

It still gets 6MPG better than my OBS F350 CCLB 4x4, so I'm happy.

Good point on the weight of the wheels. I did notice they were very heavy when I was trying to remove my spacers (was chasing a slight steering wheel shake above 50MPG, which I remedied).

I appreciate the input. Hopefully more with similar setups can chime in.

    LT255-80 R17 (33×10). Was getting 12.5 pretty much no matter how/where I drove.
Recently tried to get a VF tune which "usually" results in improved mileage but the tuner couldn't get my truck to take the tune. In the process it was updated with the most recent Toyota update. My mileage is now running 13.5 city and 15.5 highway. Doesn't make much sense but I'll take it: might check into a tune for your truck, VF and HP both have options available for 2nd gen. (The issue that kept mine from being tuned is supposedly fixed in the next release.)

4 inch lift, 285/70/17- 10ply tires 4.0 automatic in a DCLB and I get 12-14 mpg. I also drive with a pretty heavy foot.

Thanks gents. Gonna look into a tune. Are they tuning stock ECUs on these trucks, or does it require a tuner (SCT, etc.)??

13-16 depending on the route, weather, etc etc.. 17 on a perfect flat surface trip, which I never get and never will. That would be like from the gas station to the grocery store in town, which is one mile and 35mph lol. Did a trip home today for 90 miles and average was 15.5.

From home to town it was like 13. I also had a full bed of stuff probably around 300 pounds.

I'm on 3" lift w/ e rated 285s and not much weight but I do tuck a full size spare and rim under the bed.

    EDIT
Oh shit, I'm in the 2g forum... My bad. Looks to be about the same tho

Lots of added weight, roof racks on a 2.7l and I’m getting 15/16 on my km3’s for most of my driving. I’m sure a lighter tire like the ko2 would give me a little better mpg. If I drop my hwy speed below 75, I can hit closer to 17 on longer trips.

I'm getting 16 mpg with K02 285's and a 3" lift on my 06;TRD Sport. I tested that MPG on a trip to Canada in October

255/85R16 E mud tire (not 285s but still 33s), 6mt with 4.56 gears, with a chonky ass (~6900lbs) and the aerodynamics of a brick I get 13-15.5 mpg depending on weather and speed.

I don't know if this truck previously had a tune. I have 285/75/R16's, stock SR5 rims with spacers and a rough country 3" lift. The best I have gotten babying the fuck out of it was 22 mpg from a tank. I hardly ever went over 65 mpg and did almost no city driving. Fairly flat work commute. I normally get 19 mpg and as low as 15 mpg. I don't drive very aggressively.
