 Good choices as well. For some reason I have the weirdest boner for the Walther PPS .40 right now. Must be that funky trigger guard mounted mag release.

I've been right on track with my last 3 guns, not sure about the next one tho. I was looking at a Browning Citori next, but thats a few pennies that I'm not sure I want to spend right away. I may look at a different full sized 9mm, not sure what yet. Possibly a Beretta 92 FS, maybe a M&P. Considering I took my newest gun home this past monday, whatever I get won't be right away.

Right now I've got: (in order of which i purchsed)

    Mosin 91/30
    Ruger 10/22 Archangel
    Springfield M1A Scout
    Sig 226 .40

I need a home defense shotgun. I'm thinking cheap, reliable, pump. 870 synthetic is at the top of the list, but those are more pricey than similar guns, and arent exactly loaded with modern features. Suggestions?

Look at the H&R Pardner Pump Protector. If you look around you can pick one up for around 180.00.

I'm partial to the Mossberg Cruiser or Mariner, both of which come with the JIC kit. I can buy a shotgun with a pistol grip on it here in NY,then put a stock on it later. BUT I cannot buy a shotgun with a stock on it and put a pistol grip on it later. It has to come with the pistol grip on it from the factory ( even if it's a combo with both stock and pistol grip ). But a 12 ga. pistol gripped pump is the ultimate as far as home protection IMHO.

H&R is owned by Remington. Everything is interchangeable b/t the pardner and the 870, except the barrel.
