I looked all over the Tulsa gun show in April for an 87 for a fair price and came up with nothing. I had the same idea - I already have a Spectre as shown.

    # 1 son just got 4 of the new Colt 6920 M-4 with the Magpul options in and I got to handle one last night. The Bushie is going up for sale. The Colt felt so well balanced and the action seemed so smooth. Will be firing one at the range on Saturday and that will probably get the lust level high enough to require getting out the checkbook.

He also got in one of the second generation Bushmaster ACRs. Seems like a nice weapon but I am not going to pay that much for anything that isn't engraved in gold.

My next will be a tactical 12ga for home defense. For the price and many available upgrades I have considered the mossberg 500. What are your recommendations?

The cheeper ones are called Mavericks. 500's are great, if you can afford it, go with the 590A1, they're like tanks. But good all around choice.

So, in the last year I've bought a couple S&W revolvers and a high-end 308. I'm finally at the point in my collection where I might not buy another gun for a while. My next investments will probably be in a Nightforce for the 308.

As easy as going up to Shooters and picking one off the shelf. They are really easy to get ahold of. Now its not going to be original one that was made in russia but it is a modern day one made from the original design. Now the older ones are still pretty easy to get ahold of just you find them in all different kinds of conditions.

Now thats pretty hard to find. 90% of the ones you find now are semi. Full autos take a lot of paper work and you have to have a class 3 to own it. I am just getting a semi.

People get AK's because they are cheaper than AR15's and some say they are more reliable. Ammo is cheaper too. I've never met anyone with a full auto though.

What a coincidence, I just found out you can buy a Semiauto AK in cali, figured I would ask the guys here which companies make a good one, and look what you guys are talking about. So yeah, which manufacturer makes a good AK nowadays?
