    Whatever I find.
    Don't usually eat breakfast.
Usually ham (or whatever lunch meat is on sale) sammich for lunch.
Dinner tends to be Walmart brand Poptarts, Walmart brand canned soup/beans, potatoes, more sammiches, or if I'm feeling fancy, I might get one of Food Lion's little 88 cent personal pizzas. They are glorious. Oh, and everything is better with ranch dressing and/or sharp cheddar. :D
Edit: Also like to supplement my food with hunting.
I like to get about three or four squirrels, dress em, throw em in the crock pot with potatoes, carrots, and celery, little bit of chicken stock, and do up some egg noodles to throw in it. We can make that last for three nights, with six people eating it.

just saw this page and yea that is my grandfathers supper every night. literally every night. anything more and he says it keeps him awake. I now make this about once every couple of weeks. its pretty good. I get cravings for buttermilk now and thats the only way to satisfy it!

Out in the woods here theres only one type of squirrel that I know of...its Protected so you cant shoot them...they arent much bigger than a chipmunk so not much for meat. In the big city I see regular tree squirrels I wouldnt mind catching some and putting in a pan ;)

granddad calls anything but buttermilk "sweet milk" and he cant drink it. im pretty sure the only kind of milk he's ever had was buttermilk. and anything we make that calls for milk gets buttermilk instead haha. the stuff is perfect! expecially biscuits... with chocolate sauce...

Depends on how poor if extremely poor a good food is bread toasted with butter and cinnamon and sugar.
Or just 2 pieces of bread and butter for a butter sandwich

Crackers in bowl, pour soup over top.

I like to let the soup cool so that i can scoop the crackers up out while they're still crunchy :D

To me, its all about getting carbs when I eat cheap. Because carbs are energy, whether they're good or bad doesn't matter.

I also always keep saltines, nature valley bars, poptarts, dry oatmeal packets, peanut butter crackers, dry cereal, gatoraid chews, etc. on hand and even in my truck.
