The Army uses fixed radio call signs to designate the unit and the position of the person transmitting. Devious is the designation for the 101st Military Intelligence Battalion (now inactivated), 1st Infantry Division, and 6 is the numerical designation for the unit commander.

So, Devious6 was my radio call sign when I commanded the battalion.

 But here it goes....In the first year of our marriage (1984-1985) we lived in a mobile home that came with cheap furniture when we bought it (that was a mistake--buying a mobile home--but we were kids). Any way, one day I was chasing my wife around the mobile home...made our way back to the bedroom...she jumps on the bed...I jump on the bed, only I land on the foot of the bed and it breaks clean through--busted the last foot of the boxspring almost clean off. She looks at me laughing, and, trying to be polite, says "You MOOSE!" Nickname has stuck ever since. When I started looking for personalized license plates in Alaska, "MOOSE" and "M00SE" were both already taken, but MQQSE was available...it's my license plate and my handle here.

Funny side note: two weeks after the busted bed incident we were shopping in SHOPKO in Fayetteville, NC (outside Pope AFB/Ft Bragg). I found a nightshirt with the caption "MooseMate" and a Bullwinkle style Moose on it. You know I had to buy that nightshirt! ;) :D

...and I'll bet most of ya'll thought it had something to do with Alaska, huh? :D

Mark = my name in English...also what everyone calls me.
Matters = ...goes back to the myspace days where everyone had names such as:

    DannyDanger
    SammanthaiSuicide
    MickeyMurder
    RickRelentless
    HeathHostile
    VinnieVengeance

The girl I was FCUCKING at the time, (a very good looking Emo/Hipster acoustic guitar playing girl) commented on my page saying "MarkMatters, come over"...and well, it stuck...it became my email...then it became easy to remember my login to every website I signed up for...so it stayed. ghey? Simon...

Mine is a play on a couple of things.....I have had Chevy's all my life - Silverado
Then I came over to the Taco side of things. My first name is Donald and my friends in High school called me "Duck" from Donald Duck. So I just combined the duck into my name from Desktop Nexxus - Silverado27. By the way if you need a cool wallpaper for the computer they have some incredible wallpapers. No, i don't have an invested interest in it.

    "Matic"

Not sure if I posted this before but my early days of HL and counterstrike my buddy's used to call me "Mr.Matic"
    It meant 2 things.
    (1) I loved all the full auto weapons in the game and real life since I had access to most all guns in rl as in the game.
    (2) Single guy, no kids, did whatever I wanted. Life was on "automatic".
    Whatever happened....."happened"
Didn't bother changing course, Didn't worry about "sacrificing", giving up dreams" or living my life for the benefit of someone else. Everything was on auto"Matic".

I used to have people read "Alpha Q" aloud and for what ever reason everyone around can hear what they're saying and they can't. Make for a good laugh.

I added the "Up" seeing as I'm on a forum full of dudes. Lol
