 You got lucky... Me on the other hand, if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. :D

Yeah, I think you got lucky too. LOL. As far as getting fined, I wouldn't worry about the average officer noticing something like that. Nor do I think a pickup would ever get stopped to be weighed in PA. The city itself has a Truck safety unit, but they focus on large trucks, tractor trailers etc... Only thing I don't do up to "code" on my truck is have the class 2 sticker on my windshield. I talked to the one truck safety officer about it and said I should never have an issue with it, but to keep it in the glove box just incase. I didn't want 3 stickers there. 2 is enough! :D and I think.it saves me a little the few times I'm on a toll road.

$320 for 4 years of registration in Oregon. From LA but go to school up there, so it all works out, and no sales tax on the vehicle purchase

I don't display my weight class sticker either. It's in my little pouch with the registration and insurance cards. Speaking of... My insurance card ran out 3 weeks ago...

Oops. And I keep mine in my owners manual cover. That way if I get pulled over, then an officer won't question why its not displayed. If he/she sees it with my registration card.

That's the first I've heard of a Tacoma needing a class 2 sticker. I'm not sure if you drive in Ross Twp or Ohio Twp. but those cops will drag you over the coals if anything is "not the way it should be". Ross is by far the worst when it comes to getting pulled over for no reason.

Yep. Going by Gross weight it technically should be. If you got lucky with it, then win!

My 06 new was $400 in Maricopa County Arizona. This year it will be about $150 including a vanity plate. Maricopa is the most expensive and only 3 or 4 counties have emissions testing.

Just received mine in the mail to renew. $441, down from $680 last year when I registered it new. I'll take it, looking forward to when it becomes cheap at the 5 year mark here in Colorado.

I bought my truck new in Oregon and paid for 4 years of plates, since then I moved to communist CA and refuse to register my truck here until my OR plates expire (in Jan of '17). $391 to register a one year old vehicle is outrageous. How do people afford to live in this fucking state? Hopefully by Jan '17 my truck will deprecate enough that it won't cost an arm and a cock to register the thing.

Here's a nice tid bit for you - Oregon has no sales tax, really nice when you buy a new vehicle, however if move to CA within a year after buying said vehicle, CA will extend their open hand and charge you sales tax on it when you register it. How f'ed up is that?

depends on county here in TN. some are like $60+ some are as low as $30-$35 that i know of.

and here it dose not change for cars or trucks that tow. I’d maybe some counties it does but none that i know of.

I pay $81.00 in Pa. 5500 RGW. If I would get the reg truck or car. I would be over weight pulling a trailer or carrying a load.

All you guys that pay $300 or more do you have a school tax
on any property, like home. If not that is why you pay so much. Part of it goes for your schools in your state.

    Wow,
That's amazing some states charge that much, yearly.
Up here it's about $70, but you can let all your traffic tickets slide until it's time for renewal.
So, I usually also, end up paying around 5-600, due to darn photo radar

CA renewal for my 2011 Tacoma cost $359. I saw my friend's renewal notice on his fridge. He has a 2010 Tundra and his renewal was $425. My beater 94 Civic EX was $79, my 96 Integra GS-R was $119 and my 94 Civic Si was I believe $108.
