    Hello Everyone,

I'm pretty new to the 3rd gen platform and have been doing some research over the past few months for lifting my Tacoma DCLB OR and fitting some better wheels/tires on it as well. Through my research ive found the ideal setup for my needs however, I havent been able to find a definitive answer for the setup im aiming for. Im hoping for some advice and verification on the setup below and if its likely achievable. The primary use for the truck is recreational trips with some mild offroading. Thank you in advance!

    Vehicle:
    -2021 Tacoma OR DCLB.
    Ideal Lift Kit:
    -6112 Front/ 5160 w/ add leaf rear.
    Wheel/Tire setup:
-17 SCS Ray10 -10 with 275/70/17 (not in stock yet)
-also looking at 16x8 -12 but not sure which tire size will fit)

    Goals:
-I would like to not have to do a CMC (Cab Mount Chop)
-Ability to offroad with decent articulation and clearance nothing crazy but would like to not rub if it can be avoided by choosing a certain size tire

Just do the chop and get it over with. You know you'll be getting 285/70s down the road at some point, even if you say you don't want em right now...I know how that goes from experience, lol.

My word of advice...if you plan on lifting and adding larger tires, plan on having to trim/cut. If you get lucky and don't have to, great. But the majority of people end up having to do some sort of trimming or chopping and I think its just best to mentally prepare yourself for that.

    Just my 2c

    Like, so many.
Yeah, the cut's not a big deal.

I have set up you are looking at. Great IMO. On and off-road. For reference method 16x8 0 offset 265/75/16. Still look good. Also have more room for Articulation when off-roading with this tire size. My Buddies 4Runner with 285’s for reference.

    Good luck OP

Awesome! Looks great, Based on your experience with your setup, do you think an extra -12 offset would have enough room?

You may end up needing to do a little trimming

17x9, -12 offset wheels with 265/70/17 falkens rubbed like crazy on stock suspension, even after I lifted ~1.5" it was still rubbin a bit on plastic on certain turns.

Thank you appreciate it. With that offset you might have to trim a bit
