    with a 3in lift what width rim and BS would i need to fit a 285 70 17 with out trimming? would i need wheel spacers as well ?

    if not ill probably go with 265 75's

    You'll have to trim no matter what the wheels specs are in order to fit the 285

    ^^^Agreed. But 8'' or 9'' width and 4.5inch backspacing and you wont have to trim much unless you wheel your truck.
