Yes, with stock suspension you’re fine.
You may need to trim or remove the front mud flaps, but that would be it.

Can't find any offset or BS info on their website. Wheels look good though.

I'm trying to find a wheel for my 2014 DCLB.I upped my tire size to 265/70/17's from stock 265/65's. Going to be going with 3" lift w/UCA's. Been reading till I'm blue in the face about rims and what back spacing I need.Want to get the rims on before I do the lift. Oh...I'm not going to go with spacers , whatever I do !

On one I looked at under the size it said 16x8-12 which would lead me to believe it is a -12 offset like SCS. It doesn't mention backspacing though. The model I looked at was the rogue SL.

OK, as I said the other day, newbie to Tacomas and newbie to all this tire math. I started to nerd out a bit on all of these calculations regarding wheel width/offset/backspace.

I’m trying to determine fitment on an ‘18 TRDOR using stock suspension and stock tire which is the Wrangler Kevlar 265/70R16. The factory wheel was 16x7 with a 25mm offset which should give it a backspace of 4.98/5. The new tire I want is 16x8 with a 0mm offset which should give it a backspace of 4.488/4.5.

Here’s the rub (no pun): that original tire has a listed width from Goodyear of 8 (range of 7-9) and I’ll be transferring it to an 8” wheel, so what’s the most exact way to determine the backspacing?

    Thanks

The tire has no effect on the back spacing, that's a spec only on the wheel. You are correct, an 8" width with 0mm offset correlates to 4.5" back spacing.

I guess the nerd in me is just trying to wrap my brain around these calculations. Tire size must play some roll in the backspace calculation because an inch is added onto the size of the wheel to account for the tire when determining backspace, no? Meaning shouldn’t a factory 8” wide tire which is crammed onto a 7” wheel still maintain more of the 8” shape especially by the time it gets to the tread?

Haha I follow you, but the tire has no effect on the wheel specs. You are correct in that your tire mounted on a 7" wide wheel will "fit" differently on an 8" wide wheel, however it has no effect on the back spacing of the wheel. The tires you have will have less sidewall bulge due to the added inch of width, the tread will still contact the road just the same.

For example: I have 16x8 wheels, 0mm offset and 4.5"bs with 285/75R16 tires
You're looking at 16x8 wheels, 0mm offset and 4.5" bs with 265/70R16 tires
Even though our tire sizes are different the wheels themselves will fit and be positioned exactly identical.

Towards the end of this month I will be attempting 285/70R17 on 17x9.5 -18offset 4.5 bs Black Rhino Arsenal wheels.

Still on stock pro shocks for at least a couple more months. I expect a lot of trimming.

I'll post my mess as I progress.

Well I just put one 285/70R17 set on to test fit and get an idea of where I'll need to trim.

These are 9.5" wide wheels with -18 offset (4.5bs).

I'll definitely want a CMC and a large portion will need to be cut from the forward outside of the plastic fender. I'll be ordering a front bumper soon so I'll be cutting way more once that gets in.

Here are the pics - closeups taken at full lock and a couple just under full lock.

I have a 2014 TSS 4x4 on 17 inch stock tss wheels (265/65/17 rugged terrains)..I've been searching the forums for pics or info of builds using these wheels and havent been able to run across much..I have Bilstein 5100s for front and rear on the way (due to overwhelming popularity in these forums) and the toytec 1.5 aal..planning to stick with stock coils for the time being..i do alot of highway driving for work but I also like to hunt and fish off-road..any suggestions for tire size or brand?? Something aggressive with a decent stance..Bilstein set up?? Thanks in advance for any tips

These wheels won’t allow much wider due to the offset.

Go with a 265/70R17 size tire, they’re a little bigger than what you have now.

    As for the tires:
Falken wildpeak at3w are a solid choice that’s affordable, aggressive and a high treadwesr warranty.

More aggressive are Toyo RT, this is what I run and have been very happy with them.

If you want even more aggressive the bfg km3 is a killer tire too.

Keep in mind, the more aggressive the tire the less life you’ll get from it.

    1mm offset on a 16x8 wheel... isn't that basically 0mm... i mean 1mm... so it would be basically a 4.5" backspace... Right?
