So I bought my new Tacoma. It’s a 2019 4x2 TRD Sport DCSB in Cement.
After reading through this thread, I decide to go with 4Runner TRD Pro wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler tires. Size 264/70R17. The dealer ordered a set for me but after a week they had not come in. The parts guy screwed up and didn’t place the order. I had the dealership pull a set off a new 4Runner in the lot. They had to remove each tire from the wheels to remove the Tacoma TPMS to put in the other wheels. I didn’t want to put on a lift right now. No rubbing and I think it looks a lot better.

LOL. I got rid of it due to typical J problems. That’s why I got a Taco now. Super happy with it.

Nah, probably not... I'll take those stupid big chucks of wasted rubber off your hands and you can have my set of gently used 5 33" tires. You'll thank me later

No regrets? Always thought the amount of work to fit 33's on these trucks was a pain in the dick and then see some barbie jeep with no issues running 35's and think what the fuck.

Bro I got 33's now, need to go bigger! But just FYI, I got 5 Cooper STT Pro 315's off Ebay for $232 a tire.. Wait for them to do the 15% off everything

Found a set of pro comp 7032 I’m looking to buy and want to make sure they will fit and clear the caliper. The size is 16x8 0mm offset. Looking to run them on stock off-road wranglers 265/70/16.

IM not sure how to interpret the results. And what is CMC? I have 2018 Off Road DCSB with 16", thinking of going to 265/75/17, will it rub?

2006 Access Cab on 275/70/17 Kumho's, Billstein 5100's, OME 887 springs up front and add a leaf in the back. Ended up with a perfect 3" lift ll the way around. Stock UCA's

I want to run 285/70/17's on the next set of tires and I seem to have plenty of clearance. What is the concensus on aftermarket wheels for 285's so I dont have to chop the cab mounts? I have been thinking 17x8's with 4.5" backspacing.

    Yes they will.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/will-these-fit-16-procomp-7032.217861/

CMC is "Cab Mount Chop", I cover it thoroughly in the first post on this thread about what it is and why it's important. Not needed for your intended tire size however.

Will it rub? 57 people didn't have an issue with your set up and tire size while 5 people did. Chances are very slim you'll have an issue with rubbing and if you do it's most likely on the mud flaps.

    upload_2019-2-26_8-2-31.jpg

    Looks good!

"so you don't have to chop the cab mounts" ... everyone I've met with 285 sized tires has needed to cut the cab mounts. I've yet to meet anyone in real life who hasn't rubbed there. As for wheel fitment, 17x8 with 0mm offset and 4.5" back spacing should give you the best chance not to rub and require a CMC but it is likely.
You could also run 255/80R17 on your stock wheels and not have an issue with the cab mount while still having 33" tires. (At least I don't think you'd have an issue rubbing the cab mount).

Third gen running 255/80r17 on scs ray 10s. Got about an inch of lift on the front from king coil overs, I rub at just about anything past straight. Lol I’m going to adjust the preload and try to lift it 1.5” more then take it in for an alignment.

So I adjusted the preload I don’t rub anymore, I’m not sure what my lift is at but fender to hub is 24” all the way around the truck. I got some rub with the suspension flexed but normal driving around is fine. 730272FA-2400-4C89-B4FD-1A927D507341.jpg

Don't want to be this guy but...
Think 255/80R17 on OEM sport wheels, with a 1/2" spacer would clear the CM without need for a chop?

Also for what it's worth I'm on 2.5" of lift with 5100s all around, 3rd Gen Leafs + ICON AAL.
