Thoughts on 35x12.5x18? I also have the 6.5 and have done the CMC and run 33's with no issues. I talked to maxtrac today and the guy I spoke with told me that I would be able to run a 35'' tire regardless of offset as long as I stayed within the 4.75'' backspacing requirements.. But he didn't sound super confident in that. I've really been trying to find an answer for this and it's killing me.

With spindles you have a good chance of fitting them. Since the wheel and tire can’t come up as high they’re less likely to hit the fender, the cmc is a good help, may need to trim some more of the inner fender but you should be fine.

Hey guys, i know that everyone posts the does this fit, but i havent found anyone on here with the wheel/tire combo im looking at. Ive seen some people get away with 285 with no issues but not sure if it will and figure this thread seems like a group of people that actually know what they are talking about. I have Billies at the 2.5 mark, and currently running 265/70/17. They seem to have plenty of space around front of tire, rear of tire and seem to have space between A-arm. but i cant find anyone running 7005 Procomps with 285/70/17 with the Hankook Dynopro AT's or the Falkin Widepeak AT3W. So i guess my questions is..will they fit without rub or no? 2008 Taco 4x4 Billie 2.5 lift in front, 2 in rear.

Anything that involves a 285 tire is possibly going to rub. The only thing that will help without trimming is aftermarket uca's to bring the caster above 3 to move the tire forward in the wheel well. But you still may need to trim the fender liners, hammer pinch weld.

I tried to find my answer by reading through all the information offered above... feeling a little more confused than before...

    2015 TRD OFF-ROAD... Stock height...

    Tires on my truck are 265 / 65 / R16.

    A baby-step up in size to, 265 / 75 / R16 shouldn't be any problem right?

    Shouldn't be a issue going up to a 75.

I didn't think it would since it's such a small increase...
I was trying to hold off on replacing the tires until I was ready to install new struts and shocks and give her a few inches of lift. Unfortunately, the worn down tire tread and my bank account are not in sync with allowing both of those purchases to happen at once.
If I stuck with the current size tire and then lift the truck 3 inches, I feel like it will leave way too much open space in the wheel wells. Trying to bump up in size slightly in preparation for the suspension upgrades. With as little time I have to take the truck off road, I don't think I'll have many issues with having the larger tires cause clearance issues for the next few months.

If you can't find anyone running that exact wheel, check the specs.
The Pro Comp 7005 in a 17" is available in two options:
8" width with 0mm offset and 4.5" back spacing
    or
    9" width with a -6mm offset and 4.75" backspacing

To minimize the risk of rubbing (and give a better wheel/tire fit) you'll want to use the 17x8 with 0mm offset and 4.5" back spacing.
So any picture you see running those specs will show you how your wheel and tire will fit within the wheel well, and also key you in on if your set up will rub. Those are popular tires, so should be easy to find someone running that same size and you can ask about any potential rubbing.

    ^ Bingo.

You'll be fine for a good while with UCAs. Keep on top of rotations and an eye out in the FS section. If you want to go new check out JBA and Built Right, solid UCAs and more well priced.

You can definitely run 265/75R16 sized tires. Stock wheels typically all clear just fine, sometimes with aftermarket wheels (since they're offset further out) some people rub the mud flap, but that's it.

Another thing to think about, your 3" lift, what suspension will you be choosing? If you have something adjustable you could run less lift with the 265/75R16, have a better ride, and not have to get UCAs. Then if you want to go to a bigger tire later you can adjust the suspension up for the full 3" lift.

Since I rarely get off-roading and am trying to make the most cost effective decision... the 3" lift I was looking at was the Bilstein 5100's with the OME 887's up front, and the Bilstein's with probably just an AAL pack for the rear. Still in the process of researching and saving at this point.

Thats what I'm running. minus the 887s. I want to buy UCAs before I push the lift to the full 3". I have them set to the second from the bottom notch with stock Sport coils. 3rd gen leaf packs with Icon AAL in the rear.

When it comes time to get the lift check in with Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road she'll make 100% sure you're getting the right parts! You're definitely on the right track with billies, ome coils and an AAL, that's a solid budget friendly quality lift.

As @Slashaar said, be mindful of 3" of lift with stock UCAs. You'd be better at 2.25-2.5" of lift on the stock UCAs.

So I’m a complete noob regarding the Tacoma world. Purchased a 2018 TRD off road in cement 2 weeks ago and can’t stay off of this board.

First mod in my head was to swap out the factory wheels for an aftermarket bronze wheel. I want to keep the factory suspension and tires (16” wheel)

Love the Method 305 NV but have gotten conflicting answers on whether that will work on a stock suspension set-up.

If anyone else is using these wheels that confirm/deny or lend some advise I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

    I don’t believe so. I think there’s one pro comp steel 16” that’ll clear.

Yeah those will fit just fine. You’ll need new lug nuts just FYI.
