I just got the @SCSPerformance SR8's in matte black, but they do make them in dark bronze as well as the Ray10's. I went with those from suggestions from people on here and love them.

Ok so how much wheel spacer do I need to make them clear? Curious because I have a hook up on cragar wheels but not procomps. I have cst lift spindles on my prerunner. So I figure I could get wheels with 4 inch backspacing and run a 3/4 to 1 inch spacer and be good to clear the calipers. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I have enough lift that I'm clearing 285/65/18s (32.6 tire) with no rub already. And I plan to got to a 255/85/16

The Ray10's and SR8's from SCS have a 4" back spacing and a -12 offset. The other 2 models are slightly different but worth looking at. I'm not running any spacers and have no issue. I did put Bilstein 5100's all around and get 2.25" but i've read that a lot of people have no issues with stock suspension.

It’s tough to say forsure, it has to do with the back of the spokes rubbing the caliper and it’s not something you can easily check without a wheel in hand.
The spindles will push your wheels out another .75” but the rotor and caliper mount outside the spindle, so that won’t effect the caliper clearance.

Safest bet (but also slowest) is to get one wheel, mount it, check if it hits. Then pack on washers until it clears. Measure how thick the washers are and then order the appropriate spacers.

From there share what thickness spacers you need and share with the forum to help someone in the future

SCS makes some killer wheels and the fitment is great. My roomate just ordered F5s with 3.5” BS today so he’ll have the room for a 35” in the future (room from tire and UCA, he’ll need to cut the firewall for the tires haha).

@ColoTacoPrerunner06 is looking for a set of steelies though. He’s got a hook up for Crager so trying to make those fit.
Steel wheels just require some adapting for our Tacos.

Thanks but with the spindles I need
Thanks I'll look into those. My spindles require 4.5 backspaceing so 4 would work and I would rather not run spacers... but if I get wheels at 20% below retail it's almost worth it to change bearings a little more often. Especially when your like me and get the bearings at cost because you run a shop. I can get the dorman hub and bearing assemblies for 130.00 each.

Also I like that ability to repair wheels on the trail. I had a sas 2nd gen 4runner on 38s and having steelies saved my ass a few times on the trail.

There’s a good amount of alloy wheels I can get you for 5%-22% off and if you’re in CO no tax or shipping costs. Plus you won’t need to run spacers. Just throwing that out there!

I guess ill share here with what ive had to do with tire rub. I started off with the bilistien/ eibach lift which is 3in's up front with 285/75R16 with stock snow flake wheels and those rubbed so bad on the upper control arm I couldnt drive it. I slapped on some 1/4 in wheel spacers with stock wheels and now the tires could now spin freely bur still rubbed the upper control arm while turning at full lock. A few months of that bullshit and I put on a set of SCS F5's with 3.5in of back space 16X8 and now it no longer rubbed on the upper control arm or the frame at all.... but now it rubs the pinch weld like a mother fucker so out cam the BFH and smashed it in and now it only rubbed there while turning at full lock and flexed, lived with that for about a year or so then I ordered a 1in body lift and SPC upper control arms and now I absolutely have NO RUBBING AT ALLLLL!!!!

    Hahaha learned the fun way!

You need 4.5” back spacing per the forum, but people fit 285 width with as high as 4.75” back spacing.

Have you down the cab mount chop? That’ll help with the rubbing below the pinch weld

You might like the American Racing Ansen. Close to the Crager but it does have a simulated bead lock.

Chopping the cab mounts on 1st gens isnt needed as the mount is further back from the wheel wells then 2nd and 3rd gens. I had a 2015 as well but I never went above 265/75R16 and it had 2.5in lift with stock wheels and it never rubbed. But it was alot of trial and error for me.

Fine as is stock suspension fine? The best answer I’ve heard from a few wheel dealers was “you may need a slight lift kit”.

Thanks for the lug nut tip. I was aware of that, I tried to do my homework before giving up and posting the “will it fit” question here.

That’s a nice looking wheel. I reached out to them to see if the SR8s were available in 16” bronze.

You have to keep your eyes peeled on the availability thread. They'll post the exact day and time they are releasing more.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-scs-inventory-subscription-thread.489572/

You have to be fast though as I had hoped for the Ray10's in matte black but they were sold out within minutes of releasing. My 2nd choice was the SR8's, but after getting them and putting them on, I actually like these more.
