Looking at a set of wheels that I can get a really good deal on. The backspacing is = 5.25 in. How will they fit or will it work?

5.25" in backspacing is what the OEM 16" TRD wheels are, so they should fit fine. What's your tire size?

Going to get a lot of hate but its a 20" wheel so would run a 275/55-20

I believe you may have some rubbing issues with that combo.

If same backspacing same as stock 16s and 20s tires are only .4" wider where do you think it would rub?

The stock tires are 265/70-R16. Even though you're only .4" wider than stock, you're about 1.5" bigger in diameter over stock. Could have some rubbing on the front flaps and/or inner fender.

Some people report minor rubbing with 265/70-R17 (31.6") and some don't. Try browsing some other threads in the Wheel and Tire section and see what other people have found.

I have a 1.75 Bilestins on my truck so height im not really worried. No mud flaps on so basically just worried on rubbing frame or fenders.

    BUMP

Does anyone know if this is Too much backspacing for a 275/55-20 with a 1.75" billy lift?

And do Tacoma wheels have to be hub centric?

They don't HAVE to be. Factory Toyota wheels are designed to be hub centric though. If you're worried about it you could get a set of hub centering rings.

I just mostly worried about that backspacing of 5.25 and 0 offset, if it would rub on upper contol

    BUMP!
Found this online, is this correct?

Stock wheel closer to 5.5" than 5.25". The 2005-'08 17x7.5 TRD wheels have a +30mm offset. If they had 0mm offset, the backspacing would be 4.25". So, technically, the backspacing is 5.43 inches.

Here is a guy with 20x8.5 with 275/55-20 with no rubbing issuses, but not sure on backspacing or offest.
