Wheel bearing failure - photos

I took a few minutes this morning to disassemble the wheel bearing I replaced a couple of weeks ago. IIRC, The damage on the outer race is on the outboard side toward the rear of the vehicle.



It also appears that there was some water infiltration at the outboard side of the bearing. The inside race and bearing looked OK.

 

I think the word you were looking for in the subject line was "wheel". What you typed was "we will".

EDIT: Sorry I'm really bored right now and that's a pet peeve for me like you cannot believe.

 

That's what I get for dictating it. Siri is a bit dutchy.
