I have borrowed a friend's Calkins boat trailer to tow a small rowboat home to Seattle from a family cabin in central BC. It's a 400 mile drive each way. The boat weighs around 300#. I have some lithium multi-purpose grease and a small grease gun. On the grease cartridge it states that it's suitable for wheel bearings. Will this type of grease work in this application?

Pretty sure it needs to be specific for boat trailer use, make sure it's rated to be underwater

Just get a marine bearing grease and you will be fine.
