This time I've torn apart the front steering knuckles to replace the bearings and I can't seem to get the terminology right for yet another part. What I'm trying to find is called the "oil seal" on page SA-23 of volume 2A. I keep getting offered the "grease cap" when I look for this. All though I do need the grease caps I can't seem to find the oil seal that is directly behind the hub. Any one out there who could help me with directions or a part #? And let me know where I'm going wrong.
    Thank you
    John

That's where I'm confused. I would call it the outer seal. But I'm not sure. It would be the seal that comes off when the hub is pressed out. It's attached to the steering knuckle right behind the wheel hub.

that outer a3 bearing is kinda of weak.....

so I pop that cup off every year and half and repack that outer with fresh red grease....

If you set that up right its a breeze to go back in and do fast service hits....

I keep an extra A3 bearing for each side, packed and loaded...and 30mm always on the breaker......10 min job

    caliper holds it in place.....

@O'Silver_Taco, I have a 4wd so my wheel bearing is one piece. Do not ask me how, but with the info you gave me I actually ended up finding the oem part #. With a dozen tabs open I somehow ended up on Yota1 performance 1 website and they have the part and also list the Toyota part # 90312-95001. So when I put that number into a search then all the Toyota parts dealers have it. But go ahead and try to find that oem part without knowing the number. On all the Toyota parts stores they have it shown as #9 in the schematic but not listed in the available parts below the schematic. Holy crap can this get confusing. Either way, I don't even know what you did, but you did it. You got me to where I wanted to be and for that I thank you.

Yeah only the rwd's have the grease cups and spindle combo....

If you want to be 100% sure....

then contact and give Mcgeorge your vin....and they will absolutely hook you up with correct part...

its complicated with all the different models.....

Your Source for Genuine Toyota Online Parts | McGeorge Toyota Parts

These guys are the best at what they do......they beat or match any other.....

Like all the online real toyota dealers their shipping is moderate....so I always collect a basket of stuff before I order....

Be careful on the west coast yota shops....they're substituting more and more generic parts.....
