    I always thought an anti-roll bar would actuate the opposite side of the suspension in the direction of the loaded side. Like if you turn left, the right suspension would be compressed and transfer that energy to the left spindle and thus compress the left coilover. This would result in less body roll and less weight removed from the left bearing and less weight placed on the right bearing.

    Intuition is a bitch. Yes, the ARB links the two sides, but on a left hand turn the left corner of the vehicle does not compress, it still droops. All the ARB does is add roll stiffness, so yes roll angle is reduced, but roll angle has no effect on load transfer. Load transfer is strictly a function of track width, cg height, and lateral acceleration. By stiffening the front with an ARB you are not changing the total load transfer left to right, but you are increasing the share that is carried by the front relative to the rear, thus further loading the RF and unloading the LF.
