Wheel coating/sealant?

Thanks. I am curious how an actual wheel coating will hold up.

 

I'd be curious how the coating would hold up if you just washed the wheels with car wash soap & water every time. If you just rinse rinse them off with water, over time the dirt/brake dust will build up on the coating. Then using a diluted cleaner on the wheel coating will definitely reduce the lifespan of it. Might give that a try & see if it lasts longer. I purchased a bottle of Pinnacle Black Label Wheel Coating several years ago & it holds up great. I haven't purchased any wheel cleaner since. I re-coat once a year.

 

I actually used foam gun soap only and lightl agitation for a month when washing, after a while it definitely did not "clean" the wheel thoroughly. Requiring diluted cleaner to get it back up to par.
It definitely prolongs the need for harsh chemicals and scrubbing no doubt. But at the end of the day it is not a miracle coating for wheels.

I use chemical guys meticulous matte detailing and sealant for my matte wheels and also I wash them with there matte safe soap. I don’t use any tire spray or tire shine spray cause it doesn’t look nice with matte wheels
