    So,

I am just finishing up painting my wheel flares and was about to install the rubber flare pad. I decided to do a dry run to fit it before I actually put it on. When doing this on the rear flares the pad is about 4-5” short! I bought genuine Toyota flare pads that were advertised as being for the rear wheel flares. Is this just a parts mixup? Is it possible the rubber has shrunk a little?

I appreciate any input, thank you!

These should be the part numbers you got 61783-35071 which is for the pass side and 61783-35091 which is the drivers side.

I ordered from camelback Toyota in Phoenix, the part numbers I got were, 75696-35020 for the rear pads (didn’t have different part numbers for driver or passenger side), and 53851-35061 for the front pads (again no differentiation between driver or passenger).

I just replaced my rear passenger side one a few weeks ago.

Part number: 61783-35071 Pad, Rear Wheel Opening Extension No. 1

    Exact fit.

Well, looks like the ones I ordered, even though advertised to fit, weren’t the right ones. Thank you for the correct part numbers.

Do you happen to have the front flare pad part numbers? I’m wondering now, if I don’t have the correct ones for the front either.

53851-35061 are correct for your Taco. They are the same left or right . The 75696 pads are for flares for a 99-00 Taco.
