wheel load rating.

    Hey guys,

    I have a question, and I am shocked at how little information is online regarding this.

    I want to potentially buy a new set of wheels, but the wheels I am looking at (for aesthetic and price reasons) have a wheel load rating of 1763lbs.

    However my Truck (lexus GX460) has a rear axle rating of 3962lbs. The wheels have weight rating that is less than half of the rear axle rating.

    I am not sure if buying those wheels would be safe. I don't think I will put a 3962lbs load on the vehicle, but with gear and passengers. Who knows?
