I bought a new 2014 4x4 DCSB 6spd Tacoma about 3 weeks ago and am looking to put on some locking lug nuts and a spare tire lock for the stock wheels.

Does anyone know what type of wheel locks & the thread size needed? I've been searching some auto parts sites & forums and Gorilla or McGard locks sound like the way to go, but many sties don't have anything for 2014 models. Are the lug nuts the same as 2013 models?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious to know if the 17" factory alloys take a cone shape nut or washer type? I'm being lazy and don't want to take my nuts out to find out! :D

Note - 17" sport wheels take a washer style lug nut that is slightly longer (long style, aprox 2" in length) than the more commonly available shorter lug nuts. A shorter lug nut could affect your wheel balance. You might check with your dealer to source the factory locking lug nut.
