My 2011 came with wheel locks, bought it 2 months ago. I just installed a McGard tailgate lock and want to put the key with my key for the wheel locks. Looked all over and could not find the key. I found paperwork for the locks and ordered a key. Curious as to how many people have wheels locks? Not too fond of them. Thanks, Joe

I've bought a few cars that came with wheel locks..

The stock wheels would be a bit tricky to get off without the key. I'm not a car part thief, I don't know how I'd do it. But I've done ones that weren't all tucked into the wheel before. Easy as pie. Especially those ones with the scalloped edges vs the round ones.

I haven't seen a car get its wheels stolen (when not abandoned for days) since I was like 12. Does it happen? Hopefully so infrequently in areas I choose to live in, that I'll never have to deal with it.

I have been in a panic looking all over the car for the wheel lock thingy before. Forgot the "safe place" I put it. Or in one case, it rolled behind something I couldn't see under a back seat storage compartment. Even plugged one tire while it was on the rim because of that.

Anyway. I don't see them being worth the risk/effort. But I'm not one to mess with junk like that due to paranoid delusions. I've got insurance that I never use and the chances of getting em stolen are, one in how many million?
