Hello base model 2015 4x4 here. 245/75/16 I’m trying to decide on new rims. I‘m sticking with stock size. (16x8) My main concern is the stock rims have an offset of +30 and the best I can find on aftermarket rim is an offset or +11. I know that’s only a 19 mm difference but I’m still worried that it will affect me negatively. I know rubbing probably won’t be an issue because of the 245s. I’m more concerned about changing the contact patch. I know this is very important and a lot of people over look it. From my research it can greatly affect the driving of the vehicle especially under acceleration and breaking. I love how my little truck drives and I want it stay exactly the same. Just can’t stand the factory base rims! Sidenote: Being a base model my truck has drums in the rear. Not sure if that will make any difference so if anyone has any experience with this let me know!

When doing your offset calculations keep in mind that your stock wheels like this are 16x7, not 8" wide.

That difference in center and width could change your number by 1/2" or roughly 13 mm. I also thought stock rims were +25mm offset.

All Tacomas, even brand new 2020 TRD Pro have rear drums.

You could go all the way to negative 10ish offset and not have issues until you went to a 285 wide 33” tire.

Most aftermarket wheels will come with that common backspacing of roughly 4.5". Not a big deal for you since it will only stick out 3/4" than your current wheel offset. I would recommend sticking with a 7" wide wheel versus the more common 8" width since you are sticking with the factory tire size. If you plan on upgrading with a larger tire setup in the future, then I would recommend going with 16x8 wheel. As to the answer to your question, zero issues with the aftermarket wheel offset of +11 versus stock.
