Yes, I am serious. Vast majority of what I see on here and where I live is black.

I'm 34, but went with "35 and like both" because they're about equal in my eyes. As a general rule I don't really like chrome wheels or wheels that are all black. I prefer polished to chrome (chrome is heavy and doesn't always age well), and if I'm going black I like to have some machined surfaces to break it up.

It also depends on the vehicle and wheel in question. When I upgrade the MGM Taco if I go aftermarket it'll probably be something machined/black.

I'm over 50. I like black with the base Tacomas & alloy wheels with the SR5 & above. :)
    I voted it's a stupid poll.

Depends on the color of the truck... mine's Mag Grey.

Summer tires running stock silver(ish) 17" TRD rims w/ BFG TA KO's.

Winter will probably be black 16" w/ studded Duratrac's.

I'm Generation Jones and I think black wheels look like crap. They just remind me too much of the old stock steelies (w/o hub caps/wheel covers) that pretty much all domestic manufacturers used to use. IMO the only thing that can pull them off are black vehicles and even then I'm not a big fan.

For me it has nothing to do with age. It has more to do with color combinations. Some truck colors look sweet with black wheels others don't and the same goes for chrome/polished wheels.

I'm 40 and didn't want black or chrome for my black taco so I went with Gunmetal.

To be on topic, I tend to like both, depending on color and set up of truck.

Just say no to chrome, Anything over 20" on a DD is ridiculous i dont care how lifted it is. I prefer 15-17" Black or black color combo wheels. Like the jesters. Wrapped with anything from 33-37s

That is probably why a lot of us oldsters prefer chrome. That is what we grew of age with. Chrome or alloy "mags" were the big upgrades sought after by enthusiasts.

Every time you saw a dark colored wheel going down the road you knew someone lost a hubcap.
