    this might be a stupid question.... wheels.. can i just go buy any 6 lug wheel and it will fit on the tacoma? or do i have to buy ones specifically made for the tacoma?

    It has to be a 6 on 5.5" wheel pattern.

    You have to buy the proper width and proper backspacing.
    There are also diffrences in the wheel whether they take flat lug nuts or 'coned/centering' lug nuts.

    Do some research on this forum (search button in the blue bar) and you'll learn what will fit and what won't.

    Don't bother relying on the guy at the tire/wheel shop to tell you what you need.
