hi everyone, i have a 2wd 2006 tacoma base, manual shift. i am looking to upgrade the wheels without having to lift. i found a set of 16 inch rims, but they say the tire i want won't fit on the rims, or rather " is not recommended". i was looking at the goodyear wranglers, but the smallest they go are 235/70/-16. dealer guys are telling men no, it has to be 235/60-16. is that really the case?

if so, can you recommend a good all terrain tire? some off-road but nothing nutty, and good in the snow? thanks guys.

I was really impressed with my BFG ATs
Great in the snow and wore quite well. I live in so-cal so 90% was on dry highways yet the tire lasted about 50k
With those tires on a tundra 4wd was able to pull a car out of snow bank without slipping (on an uncleared snowy road)

ok great, thanks. the tire that was recommended was the bfg rugged terrain. i don't think they make a 235/60/16 AT. so not a good idea to mess with the recommended tire size, huh? :-/
