How many of you are running 4- 3.75 inch back spacing with 33s? I'm looking at buying a new wheel and tire combo but I am having trouble finding cheap steel wheels with the correct BS. Im just looking for some cheap steelies, but all of the ones I have found are 4.5 BS

5100's all around, 2.75 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed 285-75-16 goodyear AT
I added some 3/4" bora spacers to move my 285-75-16's out so they don't rub, you might have to do the same. I looked around as well and wasn't impressed with what was out there.

But my thing is these are still stock wheels therefore they are 4.5 BS. I'm looking for 4-3.75 inch BS to minimize rubbing

They're also 255s and not 285s so any rubbing would be extremely minimal.

If I have to I will use spacers but I'm trying to find a alternative and safer option. I don't really care for the idea of running spacers

quality spacers are no more dangerous than wheels with less bs.

Not enough to have a build thread.
I was doin the same search you are a few months back. As far as I found, you have two options - aluminum or spacers. There's no aftermarket steels (that I could find) that will clear your caliper.

Well I'll most likely go up to a 17 because down the road I'd like to do the tundra brake mod so I want some extra clearance. I just find it hard to believe that I can find any proper BS wheels for our trucks to run 33s. If I went with 32s would I still need spacers or less BS wheels?

So even with the 3.75 you still need a spacer? Are you running 16s?

I believe it's to get the steels to clear the caliper. It's not an issue of bs, just rim design and our large taco calipers.

Typically the steel wheels with the round holes need spacers due to the way they stamped the holes out. The inside lips of the holes hit the brake vein on the front calipers.

The D window style wheels haven't had that issue since the holes are larger and that lip clears it.

Back in the day everyone wanted the 8 hole wheels but nobody could clear them without running spacers so most of us ran the D window wheels.

Wheelers Offroad came out with an 8 hole steel wheel that was guaranteed to clear because the holes were cut out and not stamped out so no inner lips on the holes to hit the brake vein. They worked but didn't quite look as good as the original Soft 8 steel wheels.

    I couldn't find these when I was looking. I believe they're discontinued

    Correct. 15s

See, i was told all steel wheels hit. I wanted D style but was told they wouldnt fit. Luckily my bro in law is SAS'ing his runner and he wants to trade me his 15x8 D style for my 15x10 O syle. The 15x10 looks sick but function over form
