Wheel Spacer laws

Is it legal to have wheel spacers that widen the stance beyond the wheel well? I know many have them on here but are they legal in most states? Is there a list of wheel spacer laws for each state?

 

Spacers are legal. Having tires that extend beyond the fender is usually not.

 

What type of nazi law is that. You can't have wide tires, Just do it and if it is against the law of man screw it and be happy you pissed on them.

 

The whole point is to reduce road debris being flung from tires. Having a tire extend beyond the fender means that there's more debris that wouldn't be contained by the fender. That's why they make fender flares.

 

Oh yeah...after you get a ticket you've really shown them...the color of your money.

it just depends on your state. In idaho I was told that I needed "mudd flaps" on my truck bc my tire stuck out and my truck was tall..... I said "my truck is registered in Texas..thank you"
