So I got a pair of spidertrax 1.25" spacers, cause there's a little nipple sticking out on the stock spindle that was rubbing on my 285/75/16 Yokohama geolanders and put about a 1/4 inch grove in my front tires that I didn't know about, I put the wheel spacers on and it stopped that but now my truck has a rubbing feeling when I start turning and it's not good, it was totally fine before without them I just didn't want the grove to go through my side wall and blow the tire, any ideas why the spacers made my truck feel like it's gonna fall apart?

Sounds like you're rubbing the fender or the cab mount

It drove fine for about 15 mins when I put them on then on my way home it started doing that, I have rims on with a little offset but not enough, and my tires were a little cambured to which doesn't make sense

^X2. Pushing the tire out farther increases the turning radius and will lead to rubbing. Your better off rubbing here than the UCAs or spindle. Looks like you need to do some trimming and maybe cab mount chop. You cant trim your UCAs or spindles so spacers were a good choice.

Well I'm getting OME 885s with 5100s soon and getting rid of my 2" spacer lift so would that help? And would 285/70s be better then 75?s

885s will help but wont solve the issue if you flex the suspension. Lifting that high may also throw of your alignment, causing you to lose caster to get camber and toe in spec. Less caster means more rubbing in the back of the wheel well. Smaller tires will help but you are better off going with a skinnier tire than 285s i you want no rubbing. Your best solution here is to trim. Turn your tires at full lock and see here they rub. Then cut more than you think you need because when the suspension flexes rubbing gets worse

You probably just want to do/get a CMC and trim your fenders a little

What's the next size down in tires? Cause I love the look and stance with the bigger tires and spacers, but what would be skinnier?

I don't rub on the cab it only rubbed on the front plastic piece that hangs down below the front fender well and the UCAs and LCAs have a little polish to them but I'm wondering about shaving down the nipple on the spindle and see if it's fine without the spacers

265/75/16 But like every one else is saying. Trim. Tires are expensive, and you might not be happy with something smaller.

Wb a skinnier tire so it doesn't rub on the nipple

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I don't know if changing your lift will help. You need to push the tire out some so it doesn't rub on the spindle nub not so far that it rubs other places when you turn.

If there is a thinner spacer, maybe that would work. Other option is wheels with different backspacing.

I think I've seen 1/4 inch spacers somewhere...

Yes, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. Someone else will need to chime in about whether the studs are long enough to work with these spacers. They might not leave enough thread. Also not sure about center bore diameter.
    http://www.summitracing.com/search/...wheel-spacers/wheel-bolt-pattern/6-x-5-1-2-in

If the 1/4 inch spacer will fit the hub, they're cheap enough to be worth trying at least.

That would work but what about some trimming so you dont need new tires. You said its just the plastic in the front part of the wheel well? Mine is gone to fit 285s.

Well my tires are so bald anyways I just wanted to fix the problem before I got new ones, I'm thinking about 1/4" spacers, and I need new suspension, I have the spacer lift anyways

I know everyone else is talking about tires and trimming and stuff... but did you take the wheel off and retighten all the bolts on the spacer? All the instructions I looked at when I was getting spacers says to drive ten miles, then pull the wheels off and retighten.
From your description I just couldn't tell if the rubbing feeling happens whenever you start turning, or just at a full turn...

ya God forbid your wheel comes off while your driving. just make sure you torque them correctly... I can't remember if they are different from the wheel lugs, but I have all pro and not spidertrax. Im sure their website will have the instructions though, or someone else on this forum knows
