I have a 2003 taco. I'm putting 285/75/16 on stock rims. Whats the smallest size wheel spacer I should get to prevent rubbing on the UCA and frame? I don't want my wheels sticking out to far.

you might be able to get away with using a 1/4'' wheel spacer but most people will not recommend using them because you loose stud threads in doing so,youd be better off going with some 1.25'' spidertrax

Would I still have to shave some plastic off the wheel wells?

youll have to do the pinch weld mod and most likely have to remove the front mud flaps.
