With a 3" lift, would you need wheel spacers to run 285's? Everything else is stock

Depends on backspacing on the wheels. Short answer is depending on how much rubbing you're willing to put up with and how much trimming you're willing to do.

Do wheel spacers hurt your power much?

I didn't. I'm running 17" OEM FJ rims. Only needed to remove my front flaps and do some very very minor cutting on my fenders

If you run wheel spacers, you are going to need to cut some of the plastic out of the fender wells out as well as doing the pinch-weld mod because the tires will rub it when they are near full lock. Then you'll be golden.:)

    No, not at all.

why do people assume this? i feel like I've seen people ask this a couple times this month but before hand i had never even heard of it. I'm guessing it's because it's adding unsprung weight but my 4 spidertrax weigh 15 lbs total....no where near enough to cause a noticeable difference
