So I need some advice, I have a 2012 TRD sport and looking to get 265/75 /r16 toyo open country RT tires on 16" black rhino shogun wheels with a -10 offset . I'm thinking of maybe making my tires have a staggered look, having wheel spacers installed on just the rear tires, will my tire wear differently if I choose that route? Thanks. Don't be afraid if you're going hurt my feelings, lol

If you're going to do it, make sure to go all in and install a stupid 6" drop bracket lifts, 30" wheels, sag the rear like a foot for that sexy Carolina squat, maybe add some La Cucaracha horns, and raptor lights in the grille.

OK jokes aside making your Tacoma have different widths on purpose for style points is goofy. I doubt it would impact your tire wear unless it's an extreme difference. It provides no performance benefits, and in reality you are more likely to have negative impacts. Lots of people do axle swaps in 4x4's like Jeeps and axle widths are not always the same and they don't have problems but the difference is like 1-2". In those cases people only leave the axles as different widths because it takes a ton of effort to shorten/lengthen an axle and just not worth doing, but if you could do it by snapping your fingers you would.

One thing that it absolutely positively would F up is your ability to stuff the tire at full steering lock up front and full compression in the rear. For example, if you put some -10 wheels on the rear with some 2" spacers and fully stuff the rear it'll likely smash your fender flares and possibly destroy your bedsides. I don't know why you'd make the conscious style choice to make it wider up front than the rear, but if that's your plan get ready for major modifications if you want to be able to keep your turn radius and also not smash/destroy fender flares, fenders, rubbing tires to death on the cab mount, etc.

At the end of the day it's your truck though and do what makes you happy. To each their own, good luck!

No problem lol. Doing the La Cucaracha horns without the other silly mods is just showing a refined taste and appreciation for car culture, do it hahaha.
