What do you all think of wheel spacers to widen the stance of a lifted 2wd prerunner?

Why not? Lots of people use them. I have a set and haven't put them on yet.

i say do it! I have some on my stock taco and it makes the stance look so much better, plus it helps me run the bigger tires. (i am in the process of getting the funds together to buy my lift) haha

You're not supposed to use spacers on steel wheels, (just so you know) and they can shorten the life of your wheel bearings because they increase the "moment arm" increasing the leverage the trucks weight has on the bearings.

That being said, you gotta pay to play eh?

I would do it, I love the look of these trucks lifted and "stanced" so mean and delicious.

Thanks for the replies, I figured spacers now, before the lift gets ordered. 3" pro comp and 33" tires

I had them on my '10 and now on my '90. Love them. Definitely go Spidertrax as already said. You get what you pay for. You can get cheaper, but don't be surprised when you get vibrations.

I've read a few threads on the BORA spacers and they are hub centric and regarded pretty well by the people using them it seems. I wish spidertrax offered something under the 1.25" so the decision would be easier

Yup...I got the Bora 1.25" ones. Love em. I only have 265s so they give my truck a nice wider stance. When I eventually get 285s they will help hopefully as well with clearance issues.

I got in Oma Bora group buy. Unfortunately their spacers didn't fit my truck (despite they said they would). I know a few people who got them said they had vibes after install. I since out on Spidertrax.

Just put some on my 2014 Tacoma. They are 1 1/4" wide and make it look a lot better than the tires looking like they are too far inside of the fender well.

That's correct. They didn't fit. And, I too didn't see them listed as fitting the truck. Since the bolt pattern is the same and many things I read said the hub were the same, I called Bora to ask. I was told they would fit and they just didn't list the truck on their fitting chart. In either case, that's not the concern. I was simply saying that I have heard people had vibes with them and I use Spidertrax.

What size tires are you running with the spacers?
