Yeah because I am not classed as a permanent resident. I am a seasonal resident and on top of that I am in Florida and that’s a COVID hot spot so I am barred for now.

Yall obviously didnt see my post, they literally have bora/spidertraxx clones EXACTLY THE SAME for 50 bucks a pair, thats 100$ shipped for 4 wheel spacers ranging from sizes .50 to 2.50 inches. Had mine on for a while zero issues, meanwhile my friends spidertraxx just had a stud snap off it and almost sent his 35" tire off on the highway.

Has anyone come across .5” wheel spacers that are hub centric? .5” is all I need and I can always get extended wheel studs to compensate. All I’ve been able to find that’s hub centric is 1.25”. Any help would be much appreciated.

Screenshot_20200717-180551.jpg I bought these from Amazon, said they'd fit my 2015 4.0l, but America's Tire won't install them for "safety reasons". Is this just liability or should I go with some bolt ons?
    Updated to correct spacer image.

The thing with spacers like these is they are more dangerous, in that less of your lug nut will be threaded onto the stud when you use them. By however thick the spacer is. The thicker ones like the 1.25" come with their own, separate studs pressed in - and the lugs thread on to them fully.

Man thanks for the quick reply. Mine are only 1/4", I figured there would be enough threads to grab. Any opinion?

its not just the available thread but the fact that the wheel center is not supported on the face of the hub. The lip on the hub face should fit into the wheel center. Cheap spacers like the ones pictured above will move the wheel out away from that lip and it will be "hanging" on the studs.

The studs/nuts should only be responsible for holding the wheel onto that lip. You don't want the weight of the vehicle resting on the studs only

Spidertrax/Bora style is a perfect match of the OEM hub face, technically they are true "axle extensions".

The thinnest Bora is 3/4 inch i believe. Anything thinner than that and there isnt enough room for the lugnuts to fit (the ones that bolt the spacer onto hub). Some wheels have a little pocket of space between the stud holes, my OEM 4runner wheels do. Some people have had to shave down the studs when their wheels are completely flat on the backside. A lot of aftermarket wheels don't have those little pockets I've heard..

I had the 3/4 Boras mounted with the 4runner wheels in the past. Never had a single problem for over 2-3 yrs and 75,000 miles before i took them off. I literally forgot they were on there

I never thought of that, makes perfect sense. I ordered some of these. Thank you for the info, apologies for temporarily hijacking the thread.

Now that I'm looking at them they are only 5 lug. Just ignore me, I'll figure it out.

Just spend the money on the boras..... 50 bucks a spacer peace of mind. Blue locktite, not red, and check them every oil change/ tire rotation.

These are not hub centric. Not really safe to use.

Did you ever get your .5” spacers?

I have 17” 4Runner Trail wheels on my 2015 DCSB which stick out 15mm more than OE Tacoma wheels. I ordered 15mm from Bora (spoke to Lenny) and they should arrive in the next week or 2. I would essentially be running “0” offset wheels once this is done. These aren’t your ordinary auto part store spacers. These are hub centric. Same material as the bolt-on ones. Everything’s the same except 6 less studs/nuts. You WILL need longer wheel studs. Luckily these trucks have enough room to accommodate studs long enough for these spacers.

Look at Post #19 on this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-properly-do-slip-on-wheel-spacers.616426/#post-26161256

I PM’d these guys and they said they’ve had no issues at all with their set-up. None of them have had to retorque the lug nuts at all after initial installation. I can’t imagine the lug nuts working themselves loose since the spacers are hub-to-spacer-and-spacer-to-wheel-centric. The weight of the vehicle will be resting on the hubs, not the studs, just like the more common bolt-on spacers.

Did you go the same route or no?

Another option for me is 1” Bora bolt-on wheel. I wouldn’t want too large of a spacer because then I may run the cab mount area.

Jumping into an old thread here but I’ve never head that before. Does the rear wheel mount 1/4” wider than the front wheels? Can’t imagine the 4 wheels wouldn’t be in parallel but what do I know.
