anyone know the backspace on the FJ wheels (specifically the beadlock style - if that makes a difference). Currectly my wheels are 16x8 4.5" BS. I like them but thinking of going to a OEM wheel = hub centric, also my current wheels stick out a little more than I like. I'd like the tire right at the fender edge. Would I be able to run 285's with stock UCA with FJ wheels? (just asking cause I may go to 285's down the road).

Does anyone know how much a 20x10 wheel with -24 offset would stick out?

Anyone have any updated info? I just bought a 2012 4X4 with the stock steel 6 lug 16 inch wheels. I've found several sets of take off aluminum wheels on craigslist that are from 2009-2012 tacomas.

My first assumption is that stock 4X4 wheels from one tacoma should fit another 4X4 tacoma, even if the size is different. Is this correct?

Some of the aluminum wheels are from TRDs, some SR5s. Is there any real difference other than style?

I would prefer to have 0.25-0.5inch less backspace than what my stock steel wheels have. In other words, I would like to move the wheel 0.25-0.5inch farther out away from the suspension.

I'm not sure what stock wheels I'm looking for as there are a lot of ? in the backspace info, and also don't know if the backspace of stock wheels has changed over the years. Can anyone help me out for what I am looking for?

Also, what about TPMS? Which year wheels are compatible? Are there only two options? Steel and aluminum and size and year don't matter?

I have a 09 offroad taco with a 3" toy tech lift. I would like to go with 285/70r17 or a 295/70r17. But what backspace do I need. I see -12 or 0. I do lots of 4x4ing so I want lock to lock with no rubbing. I don't care if I have to cut plastic or bend the pinch weld. The tires I want are the mickey Thompson mt's in a 33/1250r17. Any help with offset would be sick!!!!!!!

If its like the Chevy wheels there's a retention ring around the edge of the cover that clips on & off.

same as FJ I assume = TRD FJ wheels are 16x7.5 with a 4.875" backspace. I want a set of those for AT / DD duty, then I'll use mine for off road only.
