    Hi Guys,

    Last year my brother hooked me up with an OME lift for my 08 Tacoma Sport access cab. With my tax return im now in the market for wheels and tires and im looking for advice.

    Here is the link to the lift kit http://www.rocky-road.com/tacoma.html at the shop where my brother works.

    I didn't get the trim leveling kit so its 1.75" in front and OME Drakkar springs 2.5" in back

    I'm diggin the simplistic no frills all black Pro Comp wheels

    Series 7032 - Flat Black Alloy Wheel by Pro Comp
    [IMG]

    16 x 8, 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
    Backspace=4.5
    Max Load =2200 Lbs
    Finish=Flat Black
    Hub Centric = NO
    Offset = 0mm

    My main question is tire size, what do you think will work with my lift with 16x8 rims? 285x75R16? or do i need to stick with 265x75R16?

    Guess my main question is width, and if trimming is required.

    Also i may add the front level kit in the future.

    GPS Navigation System, Old Man Emu complete lift with Dakar springs. Light Racing UCA's. BFG AT tires, KMC Enduro rims, Allpro E-locker guard. ARB Portable Air Compressor CKMP12. Backflip Tonneau Cover. Wet Okole seat covers.
    I just installed the OME kit and I love it. I have the KMC Enduro wheels with those exact spec's and I fit the 285's with some rubbing.

    I too wanted a Procomp rim and they would not sell me one in a 16 inch rim because they said none of them would fit due to the brake calipers. However there are many on here who have Procomp rims with no issue. So double check with someone who has them or your local tire shop.

    By the way you will love the OME lift. Good luck and looking forward to your build.

    Ok, now for Tires, im thinking GOODYEAR WRANGLER MT/R WITH KEVLAR

    [IMG]

    But i hear they are really bad on ICE, and im on improved roads probably 80% of the time. I like the aggressive look of Mud terrains, but i only take 2 or 3 big off road trips a year.

    OME 3" with 885s and top plate spacer, 2" AAL, OME rear shocks, Light Racing/SPC UCAs, OME CB Drop, 285/75/16 BFG AT's on Level 8 Guardian wheels
    I too just installed the OME kit but included the top plate spacer. I just ordered 285 BFG AT's from 4 wheel parts (~$920 shipped using coupon code CC5OFF).

    I was looking at getting the pro comp 7032s in 16 inch as well, but 4WP lists them as "Manufacturer delay please allow 60- 90 Day eta before delivery" under the item description. Not sure if other vendors are backordered as well. If you're looking for quicker turn around, maybe opt for a different 16.

    Thanks! will look into that back order, im in no hurry so wont mind waiting.

    Let me know what kind of trimming you will have to do on the front after you get your wheels on.

    Do you have any vibes after you installed your OME lift? I have a little vibration between 30-40mph

    Ended up going with Level 8 Guardians from discount tire direct in 16 in. Should be here in a couple days.

    As for the vibes... I have very minimal vibes right around 55-65. I do have the OME carrier bearing drop which I have yet to install. The vibes are so small I am in no rush to install the CB drop, and even if it doesn't do anything, I won't be that disappointed.

    I'll keep you posted on the trimming!

    I got my OME kit from autoanything.com. Stock front coil size, full leaf packs. Lift on my regular cab with cap and heavy bed mat= Front: 3 1/2", Rear: 4 3/8, with the rear riding 1 1/2" higher than the rear.

    I did the CB drop when i originally installed the lift kit, still get a little start off shudder and vibes at 30-40. Going to try some axle shims later maybe.

    I finally ordered my procomp wheels and ended up choosing 265/75r16 Duratracs for tires. Having them installed early next week.

    How did the trimming go?

    I did some trimming when I put on the wheels and tires. Took maybe 1 minute all said and done. After settling a little, I started getting a small rub at full lock in reverse. Another 5 minutes with a grinder and I was good to go. I have 285s, so your results may differ slightly with the 265s.

    Nice choice in wheels and tires, put up some pics once they're on!

    Lookin' good.

    I'm predicting those front mudflaps won't last long.
