Wheel/Tire scenario help please?

    I want to put Wheeler's 16x8 Type B wheels on my ride with 265/75/16 BF Goodrich A/T tires on them. My truck is not lifted and not really planning on doing that in the future either. If this is going to be an issue I would rather know ahead of time. I searched but seems like most people have a lift on their trucks and just wanted to be sure.

    I was in the same spot as you about a year ago. I PMed another member who had this exact combo, and he said they rubbed on the mud flaps.

    Wheelers type B have 4.0" backspacing, which pushed the wheels out slightly further than ideal (which is between 4,5 and 5.5" backspacing)

    Thanks so much, so if I got a 16x8 wheel with 4.5" then I could run those tires?

    Yep or you could just ditch your mud flaps. Some people rub on those even with the 4.5" backspaced wheels. It's hit or miss really.
