Picked up a shell on Craigslist the other day, old aluminum leonard. Its not the greatest looking cap but it fits and it was in good condition.

Before I cleaned it up and took off the old stickers from the previous owner

I plan to pick up a few action packers to store recovery and camping gear in the bed.

The truck looks great but that cap... ((shudders)) That's like a toothless fat chick from the hood...

Took a trip to Windrock, pretty icy conditions on the trails and didn't get to do much crawlin. Only took a few pics

Sheet of 4'x4' 3/16" came in today, going to attempt to start and finish building a mid skid this weekend.

Trip to Big Dogs Ice Breaker at the end of April.

Didn't get the IFS skid in time for the windsock trip so looking forward to bashing some rocks at big dogs

Damn! I want to go to this BD event but hard to justify $135 in fees alone.

That was my biggest issue, but a buddy of mine is riding along and splitting costs with me. From what everyone tells me, big dogs isn't a park to miss.

You should go though, been a while since we wheeled at shoe

I went last fall. It's definitely cool but would've been better if the guides knew where they were going and we didn't spend so much time getting to the trails.

I wasn't too fond of having a guide so we'll see how that goes. I hated windrock because of how far the trails were from the camp ground.

Guide is needed here since there is 0 maps. It's not a bad thing as long as the group stays decent sized and are equally capable rigs.

Built a transmission skid on Friday, I still need to weld in a lip on the sides to add some strength, probably going to do that sometime this week.

Big Dogs was a fun trip, camping was very nice. I wheeled with the slightly modified group on some easier trails than i was hoping for, I had never been before so I didn't know what to expect with the different trail classes. Our guide kind of sucked and got us lost and we ended up on an atv trail which turned out to be one of the only fun things because of a small rock hill we had to climb before we figured out it was an atv trail. Got everyone up the hill then had to turn around and go back down and then on a slightly difficult muddy rocky trail back up the mountain to camp. Some of the more stock vehicles in our group were slightly mad at the guide for taking them through a trail that stockers probably shouldn't have been on. Either way my sliders got a workout and I got to use my new skids so I was happy.

Before I left I welded on some lips on the sides of my Tranny skid to add some strength

Had the same guide experience. They need to just map the place and/or have seasoned guides.

At one point someone asked the leading guide where we were and he said "I don't know I've never been on this side of the mountain" we were all a little pissed after that.
