    Well, my bank decided to not let me raise my limit for a single purchase in one day so we had to break up the charges over two days (yes, i ordered a LOT of stuff)..... Dan was cool about it and everything should ship out Monday. Wheelers is great to do business with and I wouldn't have any problems spending more money with them. Now I just gotta get my butt home so I can install everything!!

    Dan called me on Thursday to let me know that my stuff had shipped. UPS says that it should arrive some time this coming Friday. Here are some pics of what prompted me to participate in the Group Buy...

    This is the Drivers side broken leaf eating its way into the shock

    The broken leaf has worked its way to the back of the pack and is caught against the rear eye of the leaf pack

    And this is the Passenger side at the rear shackle (what the drivers side should look like)

    Recieved my coils and leafs the other day but didn't have time to knife open the boxes. So it was a nice day saturday and I installed the coils and leafs.

    And of course, if you are in the know,, every deal from Wheeler's is a "sweet" deal!!:)
    Wheelerscoilsprings002_ba23e57b3192b408c6035b32891da55d6e6d383b.jpg

    On a personal level, the "Dum-Dum" is appropriate,,lol.

    All parts and pieces went right in, very easy install. A word to the wise,,make sure you have the truck high enough on the jackstands to allow the drop of the springs with the shocks off. Once the old crappy springs were released from bottoming out on the shocks, the diff was down on the concrete. New taller 12 ton jackstands on the way.

    Also replaced the sway bar end link bushings with new ES poly bushings I had left over from another project.

    Found some abandoned frame twister logging roads for a test drive after the install. The regular Bilstein HD shocks had no problem with the extra 1.5-2" lift. didn't feel them top or bottom out.

    Thanks Wheelers!!

    Another thing I have noticed over the course of the last few days is that the shifts and power delivery are much more efficent now, no spring wrap per say with the 4+1's, so all that force is applied to the tires/ground. My original springs were waaay past there time,,lol.

    Bangin gears with a big s eating grin,,:D

    That is probably what mine will look like. Tracking says all three boxes will be here Monday. Should be home in a two weeks or so to put everything on. :burnrubber:

    Completed the install today. I got lucky and didn't have any problems with stuck or corroded nuts/bolts. The front eye bolts looked practically new! The rear disassembly and install took a little over 3 1/2 hours. And the fronts were done in less than an hour. I'm really liking the look of the truck and the ride is much improved.

    Was worried that the left front main eye bolt would be seized in there. Either a fuel tank drop, and hammer out, or weld a nut on the outside of the bolt and slide hammer it out. lucked out, didn't need to do either.

    Still glad I bought new ones, in they went coated with never seize.

    Mine went in today. I'm VERY HAPPY with the ride, which feels much more solid and stable. :D

    Before -> after measurements...
    CENTER CAP to FENDER FLARE / GROUND to FENDER FLARE
    LF: 20" / 34.5" -> 22.5" / 37 = 2.5" lift
    RF: 21" / 35" -> 23" / 37.5" = ~2.5" lift
    LR: 22" / 36" -> 24" / 38" = 2" lift
    RR: 22" / 36.5" -> 23.5" / 38" = ~2" lift

    I realize :worthless:, but I picked-up my truck after work and went straight to an evening meeting that lasted until well-after sunset. :eek: I'll get some posted ASAP...

    Forgot to mention why I had to "pick it up". I lost an epic battle with my old eye bolts over the weekend. They would not budge, despite having been prepped for a couple of weeks with repeated PB Blaster treatments, being heated with a torch, and the use of a brand new impact wrench! :mad:

    The garage spent half the day cutting them off, which made me feel a little better about losing my battle. Aside from the expense I'd hoped to avoid by doing the job myself, it's all good - I definitely cannot complain about the end result! :D

    I'm in the very same "zero rust" category, so I was NOT expecting that kind of problem... On both sides, no less!

    Mine was only on the gas tank side, of course :laugh:. So I couldn't hit it with a hammer and had to press it out with the biggest pair of channel locks ever. I was still able to re use the bolt though.

    Very nice, looks like you still have some settling to do in the rear.

    Clean truck though!:eek:
