I just had wheelers 8 leaf spring pack installed on my 02' 4 door.
They are advertised as providing 1.75"-2" of lift.
But After installation they are actually producing +4" of lift.

Why on earth would this happen? After reading about Wheelers on TW i assumed they would have accurate information, but i guess they dont.
In order to level my truck the mechanic maxed out the lift on my King 3" lift coilovers and now my truck rides like absolute shit!

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any help on how to resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Call the vendor.

You may have received the wrong product. Or they may be improperly installed.

Did you start by posting this thread or have you called Wheelers Offroad to make sure that you received the correct leaf springs and that they're installed correctly?

    Yes i called Wheelers.
Their tech said the new leafs have to settle before they reach the advertised 2".
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing w/ wheelers 8 leaf?

My new recall leafs settled more than an inch after a long weekend of driving so yours might. I read you have adjustable co's so I'd wait until the leafs settle and then adjust the co's to the height you like unless they're cranked so hard they make the front ride too harsh. What do you usually have in the back of your truck? Here's some before and after pics:

I dont cary much most if the time, a jerry can full of fuel and a few random things <100 lbs.
Im about to put my camper shell back on as well.
Unfortunately my mechanic decided to crank the living shit out of my new $1000 coilovers to level the truck, its so rough im afraid to drive it for fear of damaging my Kings. Im parking my truck until monday so he can fix it.

I sent some pictures of the rear suspension to Dan@WheelersOffroad and he said they looked correct and will settle with time. Where the rear sits now it will need to come down 2"+ to be at advertised 2" lift.
I m going to load the bed down and do a lot of driving over the next couple weeks to help them settle.

Yeah with your camper shell and having the leafs settle things should improve. I know the feeling when things aren't happening how you expect them to. I just bought an expensive long travel kit and had it installed by an expert and now it won't get into spec for alignment. It'll work itself out over this weekend hopefully. I guess it's the nature of the beast with modifiying trucks. Things won't always go smoothly even with the most careful planning, but they get fixed in the end. Easier to preach patience than practice it though.

    Well said sir.

My frustration and confusion is compounded by the fact that this is my 1st truck build, and my daily driver.

I was going to get a Boss or OME full lift kit but saw the King Coilovers for $100 more than Boss oe OME Coilovers. As i spend a lot of time in my truck, long highway runs and rough backroads, my goal is to have a supremely comfortable ride so Kings were a no-brainer.
Im sure 1000 miles later it will be everything i hoped for.

I will if they haven't settled 3 months from now.
Ive driven 50ish miles since install and it has already come down nearly 1/2".
I think it will be fine

    Whole lotta stuff
I don't see what the problem is.

You'll put the camper shell on and the leaf packs will continue to settle. Allowing you to take off some of the preload on your coils (which can always be alleviated via different spring rates), which will positively affect your ride quality in addition to the shell taking the stiffness our of your leaf packs. And you'll still have improved payload capacity.

Yup, looks like a sweet setup.

I just did the wheelers 8 leaf install on my 2013, I also had an add-a-leaf put in there as well, and the rear end of my truck is at least 3-4" higher than it was with the stock 4 leaf pack. I have a topper and will be loading the truck up in the next day or two with work gear to drive ~800 miles. Curious to see if I get somewhere close to level with the stock Baja suspension on the front. At this point I need to relevel my headlights, since they are pointing down into the dirt.
