We will. Even though the poll is mostly decided we'll keep it up for a couple more days. From there we'll take names from the poll and start a new thread for the event like we did for Pismo. Maybe @eon_blue can help me update this OP as well when the time comes. If it ends up being Anzo/Ocotillo I would like to hear from the guys who went on the previous trip so we can determine the best location. I have never been here so I differ to you guys that have. @Nicklovin @ODNAREM @WileECoyote

I don't know if you saw my earlier post with the pictures, but there are sooooooo many trails down in that area!!! If you can swing it, get the book: Guide To California Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails

If you don't already have this book, I recommend it. I am NOT familiar enough with any of the trails to "lead" or ANY trails for that matter, but I got the book anyways as it makes a nice add to the list of items for your rig setup. Plus, it has other trails throughout most of California (i.e. just above San Fran ALL the way down to San Diego). I don't remember the exact price, but it was somewhere around $25-35??? I know I bought it through Amazon. DO NOT get the ones that are ABOVE that price!!! Just a word of caution!!!

Anyways, Holmes Campground is the BOMB!!! Very LARGE campground and Fishcreek Wash is just west (i.e. Split Mountain Road) of there. Ocotillo is just east of that campground. The point being, you're NOT very far away from the trails, the campground has facilities, there is NO PAYING of ANYTHING, and it is a very big campground. If you look at my picture, you can kind of get an idea of how big it is. I will be back on later today... gotta go for now...

btw, obviously it doesn't show, but if you were to hop in my truck and look out the passenger side window, the camp ground is just as long going that way as well. We ended up in sort of the middle there!!! On the other side (i.e. in front of my truck about 100yds away) is the OTHER side of that camp ground with the same setup as you see in the picture... from what I remember!!! Either way, AWESOME spot and that was thanks to @TXpro4X4 Bryan for pointing that out last time for a camp spot to be in!!! :fistbump::yes:

I've been thinking about it, I really don't have pics of a lot of stuff happening TO the truck... only the wheeling trips

I'm pretty familiar with the area where we camped last time is perfect for actual camp sites for everybody and their families. As far as trails and shit go I've kinda been everywhere but I like to wander so I probably shouldn't lead trips as I get distracted quite easily and like to go fast and not wait for people

Buddy of mine is getting married soon and we're having his bachelor party in Palm Springs tonight/tomorrow.

I'm leaving fairly early on Sunday though so if anyone's out doing anything, especially if it's on the way back (like maybe Cleghorn?) I'd be down to meet up and do a little wheeling
