What type of gear do you usually stack up there? I'm trying to think of what I'd put up there but drawing blanks at the moment past maybe shovel and traction boards. coolers maybe or bags? I definitely want to get one eventually, but armor first.

I plan on getting bed racks, but also a topper. I want to run a setup like @icetreye I'll likely be contracting him to make me one when the time comes. I want to run a topper with a RTT so when I go camping I can keep my dog in the bed with the topper, and me and the girl up top. But the Prinsu would be nice for desert trips when I take the dirt bike and the bed is filled with the bike and gear and what not.

Let me know when you're ready to install. I used a 3/4" punch for the weather stripping and came clean af. It wasn't my idea, it was another members. The instructions Zack provides calls to use a rotary tool and just makes it more lengthy a process and not as clean in my opinion. Congrats on the new rack, bud.

Hi lift, tredz pro, water, recovery gear storage (pelican bins I have to order), ill be adding some solar power up there if I don't add it to a slide out on my bed rack whe, I get one, cooler, my 360 camp lighting, more gas if needed, I rig my fishing rods to it, I mean seriously, anything you can think of you can mount it up there. But I agree, if youre going to be rock crawling and not so much camping then skids first. From what I notice you're wanting to get on those weekend mjt runs. Haven't heard ya talk much of camping yet so yeah, skid up that belly, homie.

I definitely want to get more in to camping, I've been slowly purchasing supplies when I can. But with Melissa in school on Saturdays it's tough to get out. But we will definitely be camping more when she's done in April. But you are right, I have come down a few times on my belly and I want to be protected now and get the less needed stuff later on. Thanks for the input though on the rack, definitely good to know.

Definitly, bud. The prinsu cab racks aren't very pricey for the taco even without the gb. With the gb, I got mine for 6 and change with 2 extra cross bars and anodized black. I'm so happy I got mine anodized. Spray bed liner just wouldn't have worked. When you start adding camp gear to your cache and recovery gear you'll appreciate extra storage space. Stuffing crap in the back of the cab and digging around the bed gets old when you have to moves recovery gear, tools, etc out of the way to get to your camp stove, bins, etc. It may not seem much of a pain but when camping, convenience is key. Especially in shitty weather. All rarely used gear get thrown up top for easy access to more commonly used gear down low.

Most definitely. Depending where the funds are at when Spring rolls around again, I'll probably get in on the next group buy, or possibly before. I'll likely pick up skids during Black Friday sales, and then hold off on buying anything again until the GB. I've got the truck almost to where I want it to be for now.

What are you doing on Sat? You should come to Miller Jeep Trail.

I appreciate the invite, bud, but I gotta be real with myself. With no locker and 32" tires I personally don't feel cozy attempting mjt if the day before is expected rains. After yesterday's rains the trail has shifted, possibly rutted, rocks have moved around and so on. Those kind of trails change everyday and i would hate to hang anyone up by getting stuck when my gut tells me I should know better. I'm gonna hang back, smoke some pork butt for pulled pork sammies, and tune up Lucille in preps for my Mojave Road run coming up.

I'm thinking 9am meet up at the Shell station off of Gorman Rd. exit then head out from there?

I'm also 95% in at this point, assuming I get my UCAs put on in the next few days which I anticipate I will, I'll be good.

Damn is there any way we could do it earlier? 7:30 or 8 at the shell station would be sick!

I get up at 8am every day and I thought that was bad, but I'm lucky if I can fall asleep before 1 am usually.
