    jesus no wonder Toyota's estimate for new cats was so high, got a quote from Gunny in his thread on here for OEM parts and they're $1k/each. I know OEM is supposed to be better/last longer than most aftermarket brands but holy hell, I can get both cats from Walker Evans or Magnaflow for around $500. Are Toyota's cats hand crafted by the Pope?

    Awesome! I have the 3.4l v6...never heard of the sub-family categories though lol. I'll run my VIN through Toyota and see what I can figure out. Sounds like Magnaflow is the way to go

    Magnaflow is definitely the best option if you're going to keep the truck.
    The engine family number will be on a decal under the hood.
