I have this exact lift on my 99'. With the eiback coils you get 3" of lift. I would advise to just save up for a real suspension set-up. If you do some research in the 1st Gen section you will find Bilstiens are hated on for poor performance. This set-up rides like a brick unless you have some weight up front (bumper n winch). I would either get a full OME kit with new leaf pack. Or if the wallet allows go with king, icon, or fox.

 

Have you seen the BP-51's? They are awesome

 

The coils provide the lift. The 5100's are only designed to be used with the stock coils with the adjustable settings.

Me too . For most people I have learned that OME will perform well in most conditions and will not be to heafty on the bank account.

Depending on what you want to achieve you can always snag the fox 2.0 for about 800$ pair up front and dont crank em up all the way you will have a lovely ride
fox 2.0 for the rear about 250$ for the pair
UCA's Camburg, Light racing, Total chaos , Icon. $500-800 all great stuff
leaf pack Dakar, Allpro, Deaver, Alcan.. Dakar well everyone likes em good price , I like my all pros so far so good and @Tracy@All-Pro Off Road can get you discounted if you buy this stuff from her.. Alcan hear good stuffs .. Deaver will feel the best hands down desert racing leafs super soft and nice feeling but tend to flatten out fast and they are about 800 a set.

that will be a complete top brand suspension upgrade at a good price and then u can snag lil stuffs like ext brake lines, diff drop. etc.

or you can keep stock leaf springs and instead of an AAL i would get a EXT shakle since us 1st genners are special like that

 

oh ya and anyone wanna help me chop wood for camping? I have shit ton of logs at my house and you can keep some for yourself as well.

Crud, so putting in an order with CVJ axles right now, front passenger is toast probably due to my lift, so getting referbs with upgraded boots.

But you guys do this pretty often? I'm game for wheeling and wheeling + camping.

Yeah I have the 5100/885 5100/AAL on my rig and though it's definitely an improvement from stock, I notice when getting loose, bumpy, or flexin hard, that I am lacking in the suspension department.

It's fine though. It will get me by until I've fully committed to the direction I want to go with my build. Wasn't expensive at all, and not very difficult to install yourself.

All in all, for the price, I'm still happy with the setup. You definitely get what you pay for, and I will get more, when I pay more.
