Any teflon dry lube will work just do NOT use petroleum based lube it will destroy lining

It really doesn't take that much love for the extra inch of travel.

From what the guys at camburg told me: Camburg Uni-ball and ball joint UCA have the same travel numbers. Ball joints are cheaper to replace when the time comes and less maintenance. Uni-ball will provide less chance of binding at the spindle. I have the ball joints and have never had an issue.

 

Oh I see why they don't use a traditional ball joint like Toyota did they used a MOOG ball.

Damn 2nd gen punks get all the good stuff. Wish the first gen had a lower maintenance UCA option besides the light racing (saw some broken welds in reviews and steered clear of them). The Icon uniball UCAs are low profile and at least offer the option to put caps over the top, but they were a full $100 more than Camburgs, that perk just didn't = $100 more...

 

@BlackSportD don't forget when you go to lube the uniball and you have to remove those top plates (billet caps for $50, too!) you have to replace the sticky shit they give you.

 

It's just retarded 'cause the fancy "neoprene adhesive rings" aren't ANYWHERE to be found shy of from Icon (sucks to be the asshole cutting those out by hand). THey give you a second set but hell if I remember where those got hidden.

 

Whenever I see little spray can bottle caps, I wonder, there must be one out there that is just the right size to be modded into a cover of sorts for the 1st gen Camburgs haha. Just not a comfortable feeling going over dirt, dust, rock particles and water and getting all of that 'ish up in the top of that uniball.
